What's wrong with my gas fire?
Good news, most gas fire problems can be easily solved and some you can even take a look at yourself (if you feel comfortable doing so).
1 ) Your gas supply – It sounds obvious but it’s worth checking that your mains gas supply hasn’t been knocked or turned off accidentally.
2 ) Coals, stones or logs – Have they been moved, maybe for cleaning? Or knocked, pets and young children tend to like playing with them? Check your manual to see if they’re in the right place as the fire may not work if they’re positioned incorrectly.
3 ) Ignition – Your manual will explain exactly how to correctly light your fire and this often differs from model to model. These instructions can sometimes be printed and stuck to your fire too.
4 ) Get help – If it’s still not working after you’ve tried the above, or you’re not comfortable in doing so, it’s time to ask for help. Contact our gas fire experts on 0191 289 3464 or message us today.
